" A Man Named Pearl"

There's always gonna be obstacles, the thing is, you don't have to let those obstacles determine where you should go."   ~ Pearl Fryar

Pearl Fryar is a self taught Topiary Artist of Bishopville, Sc who turned his garden into a work of Art and today it is visited by people all over the world.

I saw a documentary on his story last year and I was blown away, impressed and inspired by this gifted extraordinary man.  If this is the first that you have heard of him, please visit... www.amannamedpearl.com

  1. Vetsy, I did see a program about Mr. Fryar some time back. It made me smile while at the same time I had tears in my eyes. His work is one of love and it is evident. Did you notice tne big smile on the young boy's face when Mr. Fryar asked him if he wanted to help?

  3. Vetsy dear.....I watched the trailer twice and it gave me goosebumps both times. I really wish you would post this on your gardening blog so more people see it. If you don't, then maybe I'll do it in the future. I would, of course, give you full credit and provide a link to your blog.

I had to laugh at the woman's comment about his good body. That was one of the reason I viewed it twice. The first time I was a little distracted by his body. lol

Sure am glad I didn't miss this post.
